CCM buffs might know the RapSures hide the identity of Christian rock's original crazee, DA's Terry Taylor. Terry and his mates dreamt up the RapSure persona during the Grandmaster Flash era when most Christians regarded rap with incomprehension. Always primarily a project for kids this album goes the whole hog and is pitched firmly at a 12-year-old mind set. It's all pretty darn funky and the lyrics are a nice mixture of simple spiritual truth and downright silly (what about the ode to cafeteria food "Lord, Bless This Mess") or a slightly distasteful rap about pimples "Zee Eye Tee". If you want music for kids that doesn't take the enamel off the teeth of any adult audience this album's for you. Children's gospel rap rules.
