There is little I can say about the band (but I did get a lyric sheet on this one!). This 3-piece outfit features the front man of New Society. The band has dedicated this album "to the tearing down of strongholds and the building up of the body of Christ". One of the 'strongholds' seems to be the hypocrisy within the church (which is dealt with in "Phylacteries" where offenders are called to 'surrender'). The band extensively experiments with spoken word over music, various guitar effects, parallel 4ths, vocal noises and interesting samples (courtesy of "100 Sound Effects"!). Most tracks are linked with scriptural passages/adaptations, which lends support to prevailing lyrical themes. A highlight is the touching "Requiem For The Unwanted" which deals with abortion. Although proficient guitarists the boys are not as successful as drum programmers or keyboard players. The 80s-sounding drum machine coupled with the callous use of the pitch bender spoils the album somewhat.
