So the band who once sang about Marilyn Manson eating their girlfriend and pink tuxedos at the school prom have grown up; that's musically and lyrically. Opening track "The Truth" is a brilliant wall of sound punk-pop number that almost fools you into expecting more of the same. The overall sound here is in the same vein as their Blink182/Greenday past (while Matthew Thiessen is much more of a singer). But the rest of the EP follows with a more acoustic feel as three tracks are unplugged, joined by acoustic piano and mandolin. This is a pleasant listen, and shows something of the band's progression musically and lyrically.
