If you've yet to hear about Philip Renner, he's an extraordinary man who has been taking the sounds and Holy Spirit anointing of modern worship music to Russia. Most of the songs on this anthology have also been recorded and released in Russian language versions and with their stadium rock sound, biting guitar work and thunderous drums, sound just like the kind of rock-orientated worship anthems the USA and Britain have become used to. Critics might want to suggest that one or two of the guitar riffs sound a tad familiar or that the lyrics on songs like "Glory To God" and "I Will Forever Praise" express sentiments we've heard in a hundred other worship songs, but there is no doubting the passion and proficiency of this gospel communicator. Here's hoping that the work that he is doing in Russia, and in other places around the globe, continues to prosper.
