Ireland's hugely popular reverend is back with another album recorded in the States (though in Franklin not Nashville) and it has that authentic light country lilt. The songs are largely cover versions of old Southern gospel favourites with a couple of beloved hymns like "There's A Fountain" and Austin Miles' classic "In The Garden" for good measure. Throughout the Rev warbles with just the right tinge of pathos in his delivery. Standout for me is the title track with a backup quartet (including luminaries Jim Murray and Terry Blackwood in its ranks) and with Bif Watson picking some nice banjo. Many CR readers will find this an alien listening experience but for those in tune with Irish country gospel music this is well executed with plenty of ability to bless the listener.
