The influences are clear on this fourth album from the Australian rockers. As I listened through 'Blink' echoes of Christian rock heavyweights Switchfoot and Third Day come through. Such factors, however, certainly don't make Revive a copycat band, with a slightly heavier sound than their counterparts. Opener "Almost Missed This Moment" more than sets the tone, rip-roaring through at incredible pace. From there the outstanding "My Hope" could very easily be mistaken for a Switchfoot song, and the album carries on with more finely crafted and imaginatively arranged tracks. Finding a great balance of rock musicality and Christian sensibilities, the title track perhaps best sums up this CD. It rocks, it's very listenable and it unashamedly praises God and realises how little time we have here on Earth, suggesting that we should not waste it. Since the band relocated from their homeland to be taken under the wing of Third Day's Mac Powell they have developed into a top rate act.

Product Description
Australian-bred Revive have only scratched the surface of their possibility. With their second album, Blink, the high-energy rock band provide a perfect sonic link between contemporary Christian music and their mainsteam peers.
Influenced by such CCM stalwarts as Switchfoot, Steven Curtis Chapman and close friends Third Day, Revive throw in the bittersweet edge of Coldplay, U2 and The Fray.
The new disc is produced by Jason Ingram and Rusty Varenkamp and offers hook-laden music that veers between unbridled celebration and cautious hope.
Tying in a timely message that life is short, so chase what matters, Blink strikes an immediate chord with audiences.
