The worship leader at St Michael's Aberystwyth recorded this zero budget album on his laptop with him playing all the instruments. He said, "God inspired songs that seemed to fit the idea of having an album based on the Anglican order of service." He delivered such an album last year and pretty successful it is too, from the "Creed" opener to the haunting "Confession-Absolution" (only let down by some inappropriate drum programming) and on to "Hymn", "Notices", "Offertory", "Sermon" and right on through to "Benediction". Richard has an appealing voice and apart from the aforementioned percussion misjudgment the guitars and keys work well. I recently reviewed Richard's 2014 EP 'Fellowship' and though there isn't a song on 'Order Of Service' of the quality of the EP's "Trinity", this is another demonstration that Richard is a very gifted worship man.
