The blurb on this CD states, "The ancient textures of the didgeridoo blend with the soundscape of violins, native American flutes, Irish whistle, African drums, Armenian duduk, piano and sounds from the Australian native forests..." More world music than strictly Australian then, but what a collection! Haunting melodies, breathtaking musicianship, tight production and winsome arrangements make you long for a gap year in the outback to commune with God. This is the perfect antidote to the overhyped American-style commercialism of the Hillsongs dynasty. Soulful, sensitive...sensational.
