Reviewed by T A Sutherland If like me, your bench mark for quality sanctified rap rests firmly on the shoulders of the founding fathers SFC, PID, Grits, etc, then this album will deliver pleasure unlimited. Rize cannot stay in one place as he dazzles with a variety of styles, an eclectic mix of hooks and samples, humility, humour and sharp spiritual insight. Standouts include the hilarious "RhymetinHP" that promotes a tonic for rhymers block (careful, your tongue may fall out). The familiar "Above And Beyond" is a multi-layered head nodder that’s old school yet fresh and dynamic. The title track is an other-world, oriental-tinged belter where Rize spits out the smoothest rhymes, an hypnotic, lights out, soul spinner of a track. And finally (though I've only scratched the surface), behold the beautiful love vibe of the retro-tinged "Behold"; if you’re in love, it'll get a hold of you! This album is now in the top 10 of my all time faves, just get it!
