Mr Estevez is a young singer/songwriter who hails from New Jersey. This five-song EP gives a decent glimpse into his vocal and writing abilities, both of which come up trumps. The two opening tracks, "You Are Enough" (co-penned with keyboardist and album co-arranger Brandon Sharp) and "Undeserving" are powerful anthems of praise with an immediate appeal. The richness of Rob's vocal tones, clever melodies and tight band structure all combine to achieve a fullness of sound every bit as proficient as most top worship acts. As its name might suggest, "Grey" has a moodier, more subdued edge, while the more intimate "You Have Saved Us" flows along smoothly. Estevez's passionate arrangement of "Be Thou My Vision" - one of the most oft-recorded of all old hymns, especially on Celtic-styled albums - has got to be one of the finest versions of this classic that I've heard. A most interesting mini-disc, serving well to whet the appetite.
