If you think the Cross Rhythms T-shirt design is terrible you'd be right. But that looks like an award winner compared with the do-it-yourself dreadfulness of the cover for Roger Jones' latest. No matter, it's the music that counts and though Birmingham based Roger's Christian musicals aren't to everyone's taste to thousands of church goers they are a real blessing, conveying biblical truth through sequences of catchy, singalong songs. His latest work, homing in on the book of Revelation has an excellent Jesus (the astonishingly versatile Mike Stanley) and a so-so John (Peter Johns). The narration by Alison Fuggle is pretty stilted but several of the songs have a tuneful resonance. If you like Roger's other musicals, you'll like this.
