This instrumental album of some well known and not so well known (to this reviewer) hymns is a good one. It took me a couple of listens to get the feel of it, but I am glad I stuck with it. The musicianship is of a high standard, Mr Mayor being a talented piano player (as some of you may already know) but also check some tasty sax playing by one Dave Fitzgerald. My favourite is a lively arrangement of "All Hail The Power Of Jesus Name" while "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" runs a close second. This album is particularly good after a stress packed day, I found it refreshed me and lifted my spirit. Give it a try.
