Not to be confused with the Geordie Roly Johnson featured in CR50, this is veteran Roly Johnson Bell (featured in the very first CR!). A three-track CD single featuring an instrumental track 'Golden Street' which features reading from Revelation 21 and a fairly monotonous plodding synth pop backing with plenty of piano soloing over the top. At eight minutes long, it's more interesting as a concept than in its execution! The timely 'Prayer For The Millennium' is presented in full and edited forms with Roly's heartfelt vocal attempting to pull a pretty nondescript song along. Oh dear, and then the children join in on the repeated chorus of "let your kingdom come, etc" for a three minute long fade at the end whilst Roly screeches over the top. Ermm, I expect this is meant to sound inspiring but unfortunately it doesn't! The radio edit is marginally better, mainly because it's three minutes shorter. Every now and again someone wants to release a song with lots of kids singing on it because they think it sounds inspiring. It never does. Sadly, however well intentioned Roly is in recording this song at this moment in history, this is uninspiring.
