If you thought all Australian music was crunching power chords or throbbing didgeridoos, these delightful albums from a new Australian pop diva will make you think again. 'Maskarade' opens with a snappy piece of pop rap "Freedom" followed by an engaging light dancer. A duet with David Evans on a pretty ballad "Hold My Heart" and the house style "Give A Little More" are all deliciously sung and slickly produced by Doug Saunders. What the classy set lacks, as far as readers of Cross Rhythms go, is in the words dept, the lyrics are carefully doctored to appeal to mainstream audiences. Don't know if the album was a monster Aussie hit but I'm probably not the only believer who could have done without the crossover compromise.

This cd I purchased in Australia about 5 years ago and it is
still one of my favorites.
It's very Tori Amos meets Kate Bush.
Favorite track. . 5. Does it really matter
