Reportedly Germany and Holland are crazy about gospel blues so Germany's biggest gospel company have nipped in with a 17 song compilation featuring everything from the obvious Kaiser/Mansfield and Larry Howard to the less expected Mercy River and Andy Landis. There's only one track of African American authenticity (the Rev Dan Smith) and a couple of the tracks are bluesy rather than strictly blues, but on the whole this is a successful introduction to a genre, neglected by the church for decades but now experiencing a revival.
