Ruth Wood from Eugene, Oregon is an excellent songwriter and this album features 12 of her compositions. To sing them Ruth got a group of her friends in the studio and whether it's Brooks Rice performing the chugging pop rock of "This Blood", the wistful acoustic lilt of "Palm Of His Hand" sung by Liesel Alkire or the synth-based driven funk of Lisa Morton on "Go For The Prize" the results are impressive, thanks in part to some crisp production by Neil Patton. I understand that this project has now morphed into a ministry set up by Ruth to bring hope, help and healing to women facing physical and spiritual challenges. There are some quality songs here which will aid in doing just that.
