A gentle, wistfully fluid opening song of devotion to Christ, “Everytime”, with guitars and congas perfectly blending behind Ryan’s huskily poignant voice sets the mood for this set. It’s followed by a bluesily haunting “Steps Of A Good Man” with some delicious guitar interjections and the slow, poignant “Bought With A Price”. The clever arrangements deftly keep you engaged throughout, no mean feat on an album with few instruments, with guitarist Rob Tracey and backing singer Krista Osborne deserving special mention. The whole laid back atmosphere of albums like this usually indicate a singer/songwriter project, but in fact it’s Rob Tracey who wrote most of the songs, which are melodically strong with lyrics rooted in Scripture and worship. Picked up for airplay by UCB Europe and deservedly so.
