SFC (Soldiers For Christ) were one of the first Christian rap acts and, with this album, they prove that they've still got plenty to say. The very style of rap tends to lend itself to militancy, but these guys are more militant than most! The backing is hard, fast and uncomplicated; allowing the lyrics to grab all the atten­tion. The main thrust seems to be "raising a nation that will obey". No punches are pulled. The title track and "What We Need" deliver a stark choice between Christ and urban chaos. Listen to the whole album and you get the distinct feeling that these guys know what they're talking about - they live where it happens, they tell it like it is and they know that Jesus is the only solution. But there's fun too, "Glory Hallagroovin'" is both witty and joyful, "Skanewpid" is utterly bizarre and even the Hallelujah Chorus gets mixed in along the way. If you've missed the development of Christian rap thus far, then buy this album and catch up
