The debut from a Spanish metal band, they've drawn their band name from the surname of the guitarist, Jordi Sandalinas. With virtually all of the music and lyrics written by Jordi, this album follows a traditional metal make up, with chugging riffs, philosophical musings within the lyrics and a guitar solo on eight out of the 10 tracks, it stays musically and lyrically safe. Unfortunately this is a problem; after only a couple of tracks boredom begins to set in and the formulaic nature of the songs can become almost frustrating. However, the harmonies and musical proficiency, especially within the solos, must be admired. Sandalinas have followed a very secure path and appear to have been fairly cautious, for fans of bands such as Iron Maiden, this formula will be familiar and welcoming but for others it will sound hugely generic. There are standout tracks however, "Living On The Edge" begins the album well and confidently with a good dynamic and feel between the band.
