Cross Rhythms have long been a fan of Sandra and her impressive ability to work across a wide range of musical bases from funky urban gospel through to worshipful psalmistry. What she has lacked in the past is an outstanding album, though some of the cuts on 2005's 'Sweet Surrender' were pretty good. Now at last, with the help of producer Jonathan Goodwin and with tracks recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, and vocals cut at David Huff's studio in Georgia, Sandra has delivered one of the best British gospel albums for a long while. Standouts are the opener "The Big Song", the powerful "Miracle" and the closer "I Give Myself Away" featuring the FCC Choir. I hear that this set has been nominated for a MOBO Award. It thoroughly deserves the honour.
