This is country music though old school purists will find 'Dream Country' so pop orientated in its slick production that there is unlikely to be much interest shown among older country fans. The opener "Wandering Star" (NOT the Lee Marvin oldie) is pleasant enough and a lovely slow song "Anchor" with some nice violin leads us into the uptempo "Tell That Devil". Sarah's voice and phrasing definitely has a touch of Carrie Underwood about it. Unfortunately, after this promising start many of the remaining songs are slower and more pop orientated while the lyrics too teeter into the banal. I would suggest Sarah has a bright future but only if she can locate better material.
