Sarah currently works as worship minister at St Gabriel's, Cricklewood, London and offers this debut 11-track album which was produced by the renowned Dan and Matt Weeks. Sonically, it stands out from the pack, fusing as it does choral and electronic influences with a contemporary folk-pop direction - "Kingdom Come" and "Comfortable" for fine examples of this melting pot mentality. The songs are quite good too, a definite fondness for the Psalms showing itself indirectly (the yearning of the title track, the awe and wonder - "Your signature is written in each detail of creation/Every cell unique, every atom, every season" - in "The Vastness Of You") as well as in a direct adaptation of Psalm 91. In the liner notes Sarah thanks Dan and Matt for taking a risk on her. In a worship music scene that needs to avoid becoming repetitive and stagnant, albums like 'Journey of Hope' are most welcome.
