SWB handles the mellow side of pop/rock with maturity indicative of his near-veteran status. He's a writer of quality songs, thoughtfully conceived (not like me!) and carefully constructed. Guest singer Ashley Cleveland the magnificent, and Kelly Willard the super-cool, add extra class to the proceedings. If I was making an album I don't know that I'd invite those two to come and make me sound ordinary! Some might find this set a trifle flat in the excitement stakes, but for others prepared to invest in some quiet concentration there are ample rewards. A warm, gentle, friendly album.
