Only a year on from their successful record label debut, the Cincinnati-based group return with their second full length album. Building on their proven piano driven pop-rock formula, the band has certainly taken this album further. From time to time, artists will endeavor to take their listeners on a journey, seeing snapshots in time through their eyes, but all too often the realisation unfortunately falls short of the mark. With 'Rocks Into Rivers' this is thankfully not the case. The whole emotional rollercoaster is pretty much all in here. The opening track, "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" illustrating a girl, fraught with misplaced self-blame after her parents' divorce. Equally powerful is "Baby, I'm In Love" that forms part of a commentary on becoming a husband and a father. This song by vocalist and keys player Aaron Morgan is a gem while the truly haunting title track just leaves you spellbound and wanting more. With writing of this quality, it really is no wonder that Seabird continue to enjoy CCM success.
