Cross Rhythms has long been an admirer of both Vince Millett's idiosyncratic choice of moniker and idiosyncratic taste in music where all kinds of musics, hi-tech and ethnic, are integrated into a heady instrumental brew which is intriguing. Well usually. In fact the opening title track I found a doodle which went nowhere but soon we're onto more interesting territory (Katmandu apparently) with "Salt Trader Buys A Yak". I liked the rock-style Song of Ascents "Dance For The Earthmaker" and loved the eccentric version of "Gelding Of The Devil" which Mr Millett helpfully tells us is a medieval bagpipe tune from Playford's Dancing Master, 1657 edition. Eclecticism rules in Croydon.
