Having only heard two radio singles ("Candy" and "Caroline") from the Spring Hill, Tennessee rockers I was ecstatic to see that they appeared on here in acoustic versions on the special edition. That did not prepare me for what was to come. If you think you know this band from these songs then think again, this is a sonic assault of everything that is good about hard rock albeit the lighter side. They share similar musical territory to bands such as Kutless. What I do like about them is that they can vary the tempo which gives the album variety, they can really kick it when they want to ("Burning Bridges", "Awake") and then take it into gentler territory ("Always"). While they may not break any musical ground there is something deeper in their music, it really makes a connection to one's spirit and is refreshing. There is something completely genuine about their lyrics and themselves as a band. The special edition includes the aforementioned hits plus acoustic versions of songs from this album. As well as these there's a DVD which has "Candy", "Caroline" and "Awake" and behind the scenes footage of "Awake". These extras really make the special edition worth the money.
