Some gospel pop from Ms Friend and this particular gospel pop has taken precisely five years to find its way into the IN tray at Cross Rhythms Towers. Why has it taken so long? Who knows! Was it worth the wait? Possibly not! An over-reliance on now sadly very outdated leaden synth drums drags the production sound of this seven track CD down. Sheryi has a good voice with a bit of passion and there are some good songs, well sung. The pop of "Running" and the smoky gospel of the title song and the rendition of the Andrae Crouch song "We Expect You" are all okay. However time has not been kind to Sheryi. Wonder whether she's still recording or whether these seven songs were her 15 minutes. Somehow this average affair doesn't stir me enough to want to find out.
