It's well worth looking twice at the almost impenetrable inner cover design, which is enlargements of old typewriter lettering on top of each other, all laid on what appears to be cream caramel. If you stick with it, you find the lyrics all have useful chapter and verse references to show the inspiration for each set of lyrics. The music itself is far more accessible than the cover: it's that kind of rock that sits just tougher than the Eagles, but is tasteful enough to stop well short of noise for the sake of it... and I suspect that, just like the Eagles, what appears to be an over balance towards the slower stuff is really something that probably works far better in a live atmosphere than on record. This Canadian band is part of a youth mission in Sackville, Nova Scotia, where they play an annual youth festival that draws a thousand people; they've been to England three times and should be due back next year. Remember who told you to go and see them, so you can thank me for it later!
