This is Side Walk Slam's second record company release and comes at a hard time for the band. Original singer/guitarist and songwriter Marcuss left the band for personal reasons just before they recorded this album, which contains 13 songs (plus a bonus one) all written before he left. Bass player Josiah took over the singing duties and played all the guitar parts on the album and you would be hard pushed to tell that they had not been playing like this for years. Once you get over the American "punk" tag, the music is very approachable, a sort of pop thrash metal with less distorted guitar and melodic vocals. While the album is short at only 33 minutes, it does not let up and you can have a really good pogo to it. Well worth getting hold of if only to hear the great melodic bass lines thumping throughout.
