CCM was really breaking through in the 80's; and this trio
came aboard. The opening song "Taking the Narrow Street" is
totally ccm sound; member Betsy Hernandez's vocals shine
through. Betsy sings the lead on "When I Looked Into YOUR
Eyes"; oh so touching and full of beauty. A solo Christmas
song by Betsy "Baa Baa Little Lamb" from 1982,Sparrow's 25
songs of Christmas release is worth listening. "YOUR Love"
has ccm hit written all over it; great song!! I really like
"I Don't Worry"; luv the music to it a lot!
Side 2 starter "I Am in Love" another great ccm song of
style & lyrics. Geogian Banov sings lead on "Ode to a Lost
Innocence"; he has such rare vocals to hear: especially on
1985 song "Shout Hosanna". I really like "Never had a
Reason", great tune! "Walking This Road" is another lp
favorite; just full of great ccm sound and lyrics. The
ballad/worship song "I Will Bless the LORD" is the last
song; definitely a song for churches to sing. You will note
that, the 3 albums they recorded together; they put a line
from a song on the cover: the line usually includes their
group name "Silverwind". This was a nice solid ccm album to
hear; great combo of voices.
