'Meditative Music Arranged For The Flute And Classical Guitar' is the sub-heading on this compilation album, and those familiar with the work of Simeon Wood and John Gerighty need read no further, because this does exactly what it says on the tin. Simeon & John, unlike many other less talented purveyors of this particular genre, mainly compose and record their own original material - of the 13 tracks here, all but two are their own, the exceptions being Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze" and a very tasty arrangement of the tune Rockingham, aka "When I Survey The Wondrous Cross". I love this sort of stuff when it's done well and this is done well. A million light years away from sanctified elevator muzak, this scores a resounding zero on the cringe-ometer. Buy and be blessed.
