Simon is a New York-based singer/songwriter who offers this five-song EP including a narrative song "Mary Wept With Her Sister", a shuffling title track and a dramatic Christmas ballad "Merry Christmas. . .The Angels Sing In Tones". Simon's voice is good, a breathy tenor with almost a blue-eyed soul tinge to it, and the production is adequate. But with some corny rhymes and a tendency to pile on the melodrama in his stylistic approach this is a release that simply won't get much attention.
