Here's a band who've slogged away playing colleges, clubs, pubs, youth clubs, schools and (probably) dogs' homes and have developed a growing following. Much of their stuff an edgy dance-appeal though it would be wrong to portray them as pumping-dance throwaways. The material takes in ballads and smouldering mid tempos while in Stuart Barbour and Andrea 'Andy' Green they have two exceptional vocalists to swoop across the ricocheting drum computers of Mark Green. Not all the rhythms or computer sounds are 'happening' though John Barbour is a good enough composer/lyricist to keep you listening. He can also play a fair guitar lick as demonstrated on the Knofpler-style runs on the bluesy ballad title track. Never less than interesting, this is an album well worth sending off for, particularly if you've caught one of their concerts.
