Produced by the legendary producer/A&R man Billy Smiley, Sky Harbor seem to be doing their best to keep all the rock bases covered in order to create an album high on energy and excitement. The problem with this is that a lot of it has a "heard it all before" familiarity about it so that this could be one of a hundred bands from America right now. Billy could have taken them down the local record store and asked the band to pick which top 40 rock bands they wanted to sound like. I do like "In Stereo" which enthusiastically opens the album and the angst and humour of "Who Needs A Girl". But then you get "What If I Doubt" which is such a rip off of U2's "With Or Without You". Maybe that's one of the albums they picked up with Billy at the record store? So it's all attempting that blend of rock intensity and satiric lyrics and it works okay but sadly it isn't original enough to set my stereo on fire.
