The natural, ambient sounds of traditional mountain instruments such as dulcimer, banjo, fiddle, guitar, dobro and autoharp provide joyous acoustic old time country music to accompany the glorious Smoky Mountain scenery. Or vice versa. The filming offers a quick tour of an area of outstanding beauty which has largely managed to avoid man's heavy hand and greedy heart. The viewing succeeds in emphasizing once more just how totally glorious creation is when left to express its beauty and almost infinite variety. The tunes are the traditional standards associated with the Appalachian hymn singing. Those folk should be able to manage a more than hearty How Great Thou Art! "When through the woods...tra la!" A trifle short at 34:06 but stacked full of visual and audio goodies.
