The Christian muzak emanating from Brentwood Music has had its fair share of criticism from this august jour­nal. But I have to confess to a partiality towards the Smoky Mountain series. Take a band of top Nashville sessioners playing hammered dulcimers and all man­ner of other down home instruments. Give them hymns like "Sweet By And By" and "Standing On The Promises". You end up with a thoroughly pleasant album with which to accompany your days around the house, particularly if you hanker for Appalachian moun­tains and worship around the family bible
