I recently caught this band at the Owen-Teck festival near Stuttgart and they were something of a split personality! Currently they are working full time in schools in a WWMT fashion and playing hard music concerts in the evenings. They have also recorded an album of praise and worship covers which is hard to imagine when you're confronted with the unrelenting power of the rock music recorded here. Germany is renowned for this sort of music and the fact that they're recording in English suggests that Snubnose have pretentions to spread beyond the German border. Here in the UK they are ideal Meltdown material! Standouts include the lighter rock sound of "Friends", the all out assault of "Circumcised" and "Confused" and the sheer rock groove of "Afraid". This album is actually worth getting just so that you can hear the surreal industrial version of the traditional Jewish tune "Havah Nagila" - amazing! Solid message and solid music, in American parlance.. .Snubnose Rock!
