I wish lazy websites wouldn't replicate publicity speak where an artist is introduced with words like "emerging recording artist recently released her highly anticipated debut CD" but be that as it may, this 2016 debut album from a Texas-based singer/songwriter is an easy-on-the-ear set with the jangly guitar and the catchy hook of the opener "Ray Of Light" and the slow, moody "Live Like Jesus" both showing considerable songwriting craft and an attractive, if not particularly distinctive, voice. Best song by some way is "Stronger", written for a friend battling leukaemia while the worshipful "How You Love Me" would work well in a church setting if congregations ever got to hear it. Not innovative but definitely not bad.
