This excellent resource from the reliable Songs of Fellowship stable (the second in a new series) does exactly what it says on the tin. Here are 15 well known songs, including such favourites as "From Heaven You Came", "Be Still For The Presence Of The Lord" and "When The Music Fades" played in a reflective and unfussy style just for you to use with your house group or Bible study group. Vocals are provided by US and UK session singers Brent Miller, Andy Green, Simon Goodall and Ingrid DuMosch, with fine production from James Oliver and Andy Green. And not only can you listen to the songs - always difficult in a small group if there's no visual focus - but you can turn the disc over and use it as a DVD, each song being performed to a varied visual backdrop of scenes of bucolic peace intercut with footage of hands at the piano keys and fingers on the guitar strings. The lyrics are displayed on the screen in case you want to sing along too. My only criticism is that on a couple of the songs the vocal stylings might make it difficult to join in. But that is a minor niggle. It's well worth getting hold of and trying out in a group setting.
