Summer 2016 you went to Soul Survivor with a bunch of mates. You made some great new friends, heard some life-changing teaching and enjoyed the music. The worship was tremendous, hundreds of young people praising God together. A memento is needed to ensure that marvellous time does not fade from memory. The answer is 'Never Gonna Stop (Live)': 10 new and recent worship songs with leaders Tom Smith and Beth Croft leading the congregation in praise. Some well-known songs, eg, "Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)" and "Good Good Father", are featured while the band, complete with jangly guitars and sustained keyboard chords, adequately support the lyrics. The recording quality obviously suffers from being made in a marquee rather than a studio and the drums are particularly affected having a dull, muffled sound. Also, the congregational singing drags behind the mainstage lead vocal which is a little off-putting. However, overall this is competently constructed and pleasantly played and for those who attended happy memories will no doubt be resurrected.

Product Description
Soul Survivor is a lifeblood organisation and has great history and heritage for many generations in the UK and beyond. Year on year they offer a great live album experience and this year is no exception.

For the few who are only just discovering Soul Survivor, you will not be disappointed. The Watford (UK) based Charity exists to introduce young people to Jesus and equip, encourage and empower them to live their whole lives for him. They run events throughout the year including summer conferences, equipping days and Saturday celebrations.

This year they welcomed over 26,000 young people to their events and the Live album from their Summer get together has captured their experience in this 10 track offering entitled Never Gonna Stop. At the Helm this year is Tom Smith. Having Cut his teeth along side Tim Hughes and others at Worship Central, Tom Joined Soul Survivor last year to head up the Worship at both their Church Campus and at the wider events. With him again this year is their other established leader Beth Croft and together they deliver songs both New and Old including Good Good Father and The lion And The Lamb.

As always the musicianship, not only in terms of playing but also in the sensitivity shown to what God was doing in each song is clear and with Jonny Bird as producer they have caught the energy of the event whilst also maintaining a Jesus focus throughout.

This album, as is the case with other previous Soul Survivor albums, is not only for the youth of the nation but for all who are looking for an album of sung worship which carries the spirit and life of live event.
