This 13-track album has been produced with the laudable aim of giving a wider audience to up and coming songwriters. Kingsway have sought to give the songs optimum exposure by allowing their finest Soul Survivor musicians and worship leaders to perform them. The result could have been disastrous. In reality, this is a sparkling album. The heavyweights contained within are the pacy "Lord I've Found You", an Andy Rozier composition, warmly handled by the highly underrated Brian Doerkson; Peter Cant's "Fallen In Love" sung by Paul Oakley, which recalls the latter's own "I Love Your Love", and the sublime "Father God", written by Mike Crawford and sympathetically delivered by Matt Redman. Redman himself contrives to share his own new composition on the album. Not surprisingly, "The Heart Of Worship" - a beautiful plea for more soul-baring during worship, is the album's best individual track. It confirms him not only as one of the top contemporary worship writers, but also lyrically head and shoulders above his luminaries. It will no doubt find its way onto acetate at your local church.
