If you don't know what an eclosion is, the sleeve helpfully advises it's an emergence of a butterfly from a pupa-case. And if you don't know who Chrysalis are, they're the Buckinghamshire ministry fronted by singers Mandy Watsham and Nicki Matthews, otherwise known as the Soulmates. The songs here are also featured in Mandy and Nicki's Sketches & Songs book (Marshall Pickering). As an example of a ministry that has been proven to have been used by God down the years this is fine. The Chrysalis musicians play competently, the lasses sing with sweet assurance and though the originals aren't quite up to the standard of the covers like Ralph Van Manen's/Avalon's "Testify To Love" and Robert Knight's/Amen Corner's "Everlasting Love", there will be many supporters, particularly amongst the over 30s where this kind of easy on the ear music is aimed, who will respond to this album.
