Like the Spirit Song album 'He Is Strong' also being released here by Kingsway, this features a selection of songs from the pen of Nashville's David Baroni on which he is aided and abetted by his local Bethel Chapel Choir and Jesus music veteran Kelly Willard. The short and simple lyrics abound with God's attributes as found in Holy Writ. Most are, indeed, pure praise and worship songs. Both the words and the tunes are like many that you have probably heard countless times before over the past decade. Haying played the album half a dozen times I guess that it isn't going to grow on me. With an injection of originality I am sure that this guy could really turn out something to match his skilful keyboard playing. Meanwhile I fear that this is one worship album too many for the 1990s.
