Marking his first full album of original songs in seven years, this long awaited release from US CCM star Steven Curtis makes it clear why he is the most award-winning artist in Christian music history. Arguably a concept album, the opening title track sets the scene for a considered yet uplifting collection of songs that charts God's faithfulness in our lives and promotes the fact that he has plans to prosper us no matter what we go through. For the most part, Chapman adopts a punchy, percussive style with the likes of "Love Take Me Over" and "Something Beautiful" making it seem like he's never been away whilst he turns up the schmaltz in "Only One And Only You" without over-egging the pudding. Elsewhere, subjects such as death in the achingly honest "Michael And Maria" and "See You In A Little While" plus the passage of time ("A Little More Time To Love") are handled expertly with a heavenly perspective and, together with the album as a whole, showcase a mature side to Chapman's work that comes only with personal experience and years in the business.

Product Description
The Glorious Unfolding is the first full album of original songs from Steven Curtis Chapman in seven years. The highly anticipated album centres around the idea that God is at work telling a story through the wonderful and amazing as well as the painful chapters of our lives - something Chapman understands first hand. He explains, 'As I've journeyed through this story, I'm more convinced than ever that he does know the plans that he has for us and he will finish what he started. God is telling an amazing, glorious, epic story and we must decide if we will trust him with it.'
