A variety of inspirational music, with composer credits from Andrew Lloyd Webber to the Gaithers via Len Magee, Betty Lou Mills and Dottie Rambo, recorded in 1997. Those are the bare facts. There are several reasons why you should keep your pennies in your pockets. Firstly, the songs are a wildly variable bunch theologically - "Love Changes Everything" has undergone a bit of a re-write to make its lyrics more "Christian" - and nearly all of them are pretty ancient there's hardly anything younger than 1990. Secondly, the production, whilst of an acceptable quality technically, is not very imaginative, ambling along with acoustic guitar, keyboards and synths and a bit of saxophone and woodwinds here and there. This, coupled with the antiquity of the material, gives a very dated sound. Thirdly, and most seriously, Stewart's voice has a rather nasal quality and a propensity to wander off pitch from time to time.
