The 128 pages of this book should be required reading for every organist, pianist or keyboard player who finds him/herself involved in playing for worship at ANY level. Through his involvement with worship leading in his home church in Brighton and at major Bible Week events Stuart Townend is able to write with authority on the subject - but more than that he presents his material with sympathy and, most importantly of all, clarity. Whether you're a self-taught 'play it by ear' type struggling with the 'dots' or classically trained and wondering what on earth Gm7 is when it's at home, this book unravels both kinds of mystery. It delves into the areas of improvisation and prophetic worship as well as giving practical hints on contemporary styles, arrangements and the "wonderful world of Midi". In the words of Chris Bowater, "A much needed resource for all those who have ever asked 'How do you do that?'" and who am I to disagree?

this little book was referred to me by a friend, as a worship keyboard player i was amazed how his ideas was so useful in worship music service. the loud-sotf-loud technique was very powerful indeed.... sadly they (music bookstore) discontinued the distribution of this wonderful book...mine was the last copy...
