If you thought that Audioslave and Muse were the quintessence of edgy modern rock, you are going to be blown away by 'Day Of Small Beginnings'. After years of dues-paying, small gigs and independent releases this Liverpool foursome deliver one of the best albums of the year. Everything works on this set, the songwriting is full of memorable hooks, Mark Doohan's singing has a depth and abrasive edge while the aural dynamics of the layered guitars, beautifully captured by engineer/producer Trevor Michael with the aid of ICC's new desk is nothing short of breathtaking. Standouts include the searing "Heaven" and "White Of Your Eyes" with some dazzling drum work, but wherever you look on this set you'll find quality songs executed with passion and fire.

I saw these guys in concert yesterday, at my school, and bought this album as soon as I heard them. They are well worth listening to. They are amazingly talented, the vocals are so inspiring, and the musicians are mindblowing. Briiliant album, I love it!!
Listen out for 'Alien' and 'Scream' they are my favourites. Supervision rock!! xx God bless xx Sadie xx
