As all regular readers will now know, dc Talk are set to showcase their individual styles with solo projects reflecting their diverse interests in rock, pop and rap. The first of these is by Tait, made up of Michael Tait, Pete Stewart and Chad and Lonnie Chapin. The album was released on the 3rd July and contains elements of pop, funk, a trace of R&B and some full tilt rock. The lyrics contain some deep thoughts and reflections drawn from the relationships and experiences that have touched Michael's life. 'Empty' is a glimpse into the person behind the artist that people think they already know. The songs are soul stirring and it is a first class album. It will make an impact on the CCM scene and with some seering guitar work and memorable hooks, Tait sound like a band rather than a soloist's indulgence.
