If you've not come across her before, the salient facts about Tammy Trent are that she creates grown up pop in a similar style to Natalie Grant. It's all catchy melodies and big voice. Her personal life was scarred by the 2001 accidental death of her husband and her previous 2006 release contained songs that expressed her feelings as she went through recovering from that experience. These days she sings songs of substance and shares with her audience how God has helped her. Strong songs like "God Of Impossibles", "You've Already Shown Me" and "I'm Letting Go" range from upbeat pop to thoughtful ballad, all perfectly produced. The album has its share of ballads including the beautiful "Edge Of the Water" and the gentle "Humbled". I like it when she lets loose a little on the rockier "Wonder" and the danceable "Beautiful" and "Only One" which make me think of the poppy early records of her career. This is well crafted inspirational pop music from a life that's truly been inspired.
