Templegate sounds more like the name of a charismatic church somewhere but in fact they are a Australian rock outfit who recorded this album last year. This is heavy stuff with plenty of grinding guitars and almost stepping into death metal territory! It's certainly one for rock fans who like songs to be fully focussed on God but not wimping out. 'Shekinah' is the presence and Glory of God amongst his people and there's no denying it's a bold statement to make this the title of your album! Temlegate carry it off with songs that point the listener totally to Christ and there are no hidden messages on this album. Coded it isn't, either musically or lyrically.! But occasional lighter textures and the interest , I loved the jangly 'Insane World' with it's violin figures and the insistent strength of 'Foolsheart' whilst the acoustic 'Healing Grace' is a surprising inclusion in the light of the sound of the rest of the album which although it is well played, never really catches fire and makes an impact. It's a good workman like affair but that's about it!

Hello,
My father was the vocalist in this band, and over the years
we have lost all the copies of this album. I'm just
wondering if there was any way of getting a digital copy
from you? Would happily pay if you have access to doing
such a thing. I often find myself wanting to listen to this
music, but have no way to do so. It really really sucks :(
Thank you for any help

My first introduction to Templegate was in Cavell Ave in
Surfers Paradise on the GC one Christmas playing on an
outdoor stage for the public in about 2000+. Loved them
right from the get go. Meeting Chris & others after the Gig
they were invited to play at our church [Labrador Baptist
Church the north GC] & then heard them again at a few other
Churches. I got their album Shekinah ASAP but Unfortunately
loaned it out & never seen it again. Am very intrested in
getting a copy preferably of the ALBUM on Disc.
